Sherryl is an Ottawa native who is an East Coast Music Award and Ottawa Capital Awards nominee who is a highly skilled and sought-after traditional fiddle teacher and piano accompanist.
Sherryl is nominated by the 2026 Ottawa Capital Music Awards in the category of Educator of the Year. She has also received two nominations by the 2024 Ottawa Capital Music Awards in the categories of: Educator of the Year and Live Music Curator of the Year for the Fiddles on the Rideau Festival. She was the Executive Director of the Fiddles on the Rideau Festival where she raised $30,000 to mental health initiatives in Ottawa.
